Meet at the South Raley’s parking lot in Chico, near Kragen Auto Parts.

                        We will leave the parking lot at 9:00 A.M. Return around 1:30 P.M.

            February 4

                                    Feather River Parkway, Oroville

Meet at the South Raley’s parking lot in Chico, near Kragen Auto Parts. We will leave the parking lot at 9:00 A.M. Option: Return by way of Nelson Avenue and bird on the way home. Back in Chico around 1:30

            February 11

                        Sacramento National Wildlife Refuge, Llano Seco, 7 Mile Lane.

                        Meet at the viewing stand at 9:00 A.M.

            February 18

   Oroville Lake After Bay  Off Highway 70

Meet at the South Raley’s parking lot in Chico, near Kragen Auto Parts. We will leave the parking lot at 9:00 A.M. Option: Travel by way of Cottonwood Rd. and bird on the way. Back in Chico around 1:30

            February 25

                        Bidwell River State Park (Indian Fishery)

                        Meet at Indian Fishery at 9:00 A.M.

            March 4

                        Upper Bidwell Park

                        Meet at the new parking lot above Horseshoe Lake at 9:00 A.M.

            March 11

                        Black Butte Lake   *Note New Meeting Location

                        Meet at OSH Parking lot near Great Harvest Bread on East Ave.

                        We will leave the parking lot at 9:00 A.M. and will return around 12:30

    Note: Rain will cancel our outing. I will e-mail you before 8:30 a.m. if we have to cancel.

Our next and last outing this Spring will be to the Feather River Parkway in Oroville. We will meet at the South Raleys parking Lot near Kragen Auto Parts. We will be leaving the parking lot at 9:00 A.M.

On Thursday April 4th the weather was beautiful for our trip to the Black Butte Lake area. We saw a wide variety of birds including two Osprey chicks in a nest just as we started on Rd. 206. On the trip back there was an adult in the nest shielding the chicks from the sun. We also saw some Lewis’s Woodpeckers, a Turkey, and a couple of Bullock’s Oriole’s.
