Upper Bidwell Park

This Thursday we will be meeting at the new parking lot by the Old Rifle Range in upper Bidwell Park.

To get to the lot, go East on East Ave. just past the new City Fire station. Turn left on Wildwood ave. for about 3 tenths of a mile, Wildwood becomes Upper Park Road. Follow Upper Park Road for about 1.7 miles (past the Observatory and Club House Road). The parking lot is on the left just before the gate. We will be meeting at 9 A.M.

First outing, November 2nd to Indian Fisheries

To get there, start at West Sacramento Ave. and Nord Ave., head west on Sacramento Ave. for about 4.5 miles. Sacramento Ave. will end at River Road, and Indian Fisheries will be to your right across the road.

Even with two outings canceled because of rain, we saw some great birds. The Bittern, Black -crowned  Night Heron and Lesser Scaup were a first for Prime Timer Classes.
